About Us
The Waconia Lakettes Dance Team is a competitive Dance Team program consisting of Varsity, JV, and B-Squad teams. We compete in both High Kick & Jazz. Each team consists of 10-24 dancers with a total number of Lakettes at a record over 70 dancers for this season!
Fall Season begins practice in August and the teams perform at Football games.
Competition Dance begins in October and wraps up in February.
Dancers must be enrolled in grades 7–12 in the fall and meet the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) and Waconia School District eligibility requirements.

Our mission as the Waconia Lakettes Dance Team is to foster an inclusive community through the art of dance, empowering our student athletes to achieve excellence both on and off the dance floor. With dedication, discipline, and passion, we strive to inspire creativity, teamwork, and self-expression while promoting respect, integrity, and sportsmanship. Together, we aim to elevate the spirit of our school and community.
Vision
​The Waconia Lakettes Dance Team Coaching Staff strives to not only coach the girls to succeed in dancing on the field or competition floor, but to be hard working, dedicated and intelligent women. The Lakettes Dance Team is creating leaders within the team, campus and community!
